Update; Hurricane Harvey did little damage to the Beach Lodge and they are open and serving cold beer and hot food.
The staff is always welcoming and friendly! They have treated us so kindly since the storm, it feels like a hone away from home.
Always a good view and decent seafood, if a bit standard. Service? Well, everyone is on "island time" and if you aren't then have another beer and work on slowing down. The best thing is that this is one of the very few places on the entire island that actually is on the beach. Wade in the surf, walk to the bar, have some shrimp and a beer then go to your room or the pool. Very reasonable rates on the rooms too. Very casual place.
Owners are great. No frills beach front lodge. We loved our stay.
Chuck and the crew give the greatest hospitable experience I have ever received. Always a friendly face and a friendly crowd the service is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the food is great.
Long lodges with multiple beds. Great for family visits, or work crews. Not a lot of amenities, but a decent sized refrigerator and microwave. One small bathroom, and another larger one. Friendly staff with a full bar and grill. Rather pricy, but decent portion.
