We vacation here every year and have tried Kody's twice. The first time was great (2 years ago) which I would have given 5 star's. After our great experience we thought we had found the best place for fried shrimp on the island boy were we wrong. When we went last year the shrimp batter tasted like some kind of fish, like they they use the same batter for whatever is fried. It was horrible. Considering this place has the worst wait staff, you could over look that if the food was good. Looks like we will be searching for another place to get our fried shrimp fix while we are on the island. 0 stars for the last visit = 3 total... guess its hit or miss at this place!!!
Food was great, cook was a great guy. Female staff member was very extremely rude to everyone. I'd return in a heartbeat if I only had met the cook who brought out the food and was GREAT with the kids!
Going out for hot date this is not the place. Being here was a disaster , we waited for a hour for our food, when it came out it was cold. When we asked if we can have another basket the girl up front asked would you like it microwaved. They brought us a new basket and it came out within 5 mins and got the order wrong. Putting in a order to go I saw the girl in the front go to the back of house eating the food we sent back. She told me she be with me in a few minutes , sure take a break while eating the food I sent back ! Hopefully this experience does not happen if you decide to go out tonight!
Terrible terrible terrible! Ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and took one bite and had to send them back. The owner replaced the meal with fried shrimp which were significantly cheaper and never once offered to refund the difference of the two plates. The most appealing thing about this place is the put put golf. Don't be fooled by all the cars.
The staff is pretty friendly, some more than others. The place is nice and cool, very beachy. Lunch specials are very reasonably priced and are delicious. Love the garlic fish, my husband loves the burgers. My one and only real complaint is the cigarette smell that can be pretty overpowering. It does sort of take away from the food, but with those prices I can get over it.
