We arrived 5 minutes after they opened and there was already no tables available, which was less than ideal for us leaving town with 2 little ones. We ended up taking it to go and feeding the kids in the car. My husband had tacos which he said were outstanding and I had a shrimp and rice dish that was OK, a little bland. I wouldn't recommend it for a group of more than 4 or 5 people or people with small children because there's no kid's menu, it's counter service, and very small and crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.
My family vacations on Mustang Island each summer, and we make a point to come to Irie's. My wife and I have loved everything we have tried there. Some standouts have been the crazy taco and the chicken and rice dish. I can't recommend the coconut curry sauce highly enough - it's addicting! The restaurant itself is small, and it's a little hot during the summer (if you're able to get a table inside during the lunch rush you're lucky, even on a weekday), but worth all the little inconviences like that because the food is the best in Port A. Can't wait to come back next summer and eat here again!
An amazing little restaurant with great food. Amazing tacos and po boys. They make their own tortillas, buns, and desserts. Family owned and operated. Come check this place out. It's small so it gets crowded very easy. No kids menu. Counter to order is right by the door.
I got my coffee...I love this place. Outside the box, and inside the box, all at the same time. Menu is absolutely awesome .. You have got to come to the island and visit Irie's... You will leave a happier person for it...
Food, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. Highly recommend !
