This is the only actual grocery store on Mustang Island. It is small the prices are a little bit higher than they would be on the mainland but overall it is good. The people who work here are nice there is a decent selection of food and they could make their rates higher since they're the only one around but they haven't so there's not much to complain about there.
Horrible place!! My friend and I went into this grocery store for a few things and as we walked down the first isle we picked up a few pastries and noticed there was mold on everything. I took them to the nearest employee standing behind the deli and politely let her know that these items had mold hoping they would take them off the shelf but she rudely replied, "So don't buy them!." I found the manager to let her know that she had a shelf full of moldy pastries (we stopped counting at 10) and to let her know the deli lady was very rude (manager said she would address it, but they were still on the shelf when we left 15 min later). Upon leaving, the same lady from the deli, I'm assuming after she was approached by the manager, threw her hands in the air mocking and making fun in front of other employees and customers. I was livid at that point! I will gladly make the drive to Corpus Christi during our next visit to do my shopping rather than be ridiculed by an unprofessional employee and management that just doesn't care. This place deserves no stars and they will never get our business again.
Great place to stop and get lunch, snacks, or supplies before heading out to the beach or to the jetties to fish in Port Aransas. They also have beach toys if you need them!
Outstanding recovery following Hurricane Harvey. Very impressive work indeed. Well-organized, well-stocked small to midsize supermarket. So glad to have it close by.
I like this store and appreciate it being right on the island. I think it has an excellent selection for its size and I support it by shopping here whenever I am in Port Aransas. IMHO it would be bad to lose this store or have it replaced by a big chain. Support small business!
